At Fylde Conservation, we spend our days preserving the past — but some memories are taken from people long before their time. This September, our Director, Tom Hole, will be running the Great North Run in support of the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity that plays a vital role in helping individuals and families affected by dementia.
For Tom, this challenge is more than a race. It’s a chance to honour loved ones, raise awareness, and support a cause that touches so many lives across our communities. Dementia is now one of the leading health challenges in the UK, affecting nearly one million people. Behind every diagnosis is a family navigating uncertainty, change, and the emotional weight that comes with watching someone you care about slowly lose parts of themselves.

The Alzheimer’s Society provides essential support, research funding, and guidance for those living with dementia and the people who care for them. Their work helps families stay connected, informed, and supported at every stage of the journey — and that’s why Tom has chosen to run for them.
We’re incredibly proud to support him as he prepares for this year’s Great North Run. Every donation — no matter the size — helps fund life‑changing research and support services that make a real difference to families facing dementia.
If you’d like to support Tom’s fundraising efforts, you can do so via the link on our social media channels. Your generosity will help the Alzheimer’s Society continue their vital work and bring hope to those who need it most.

Thank you for standing with us, and with Tom, as we take on this meaningful challenge together.
